V. Krishnaswamy Sarmaஶ்ரீ கிருஷ்ணசாமி சர்மா

Fondly known as LIFCO Sarmajiஅன்புடன் ‘லிப்கோ சர்மாஜி’

Born into an orthodox Vaishnavite family in Manjakuppam, near Cuddalore, he worked in Defence Accounts before starting a small publishing house in Madras. He cycled to far-off towns to learn what readers needed, and built LIFCO so that good books would reach every family at a price it could afford.கடலூர் அருகே மஞ்சக்குப்பத்தில் ஒரு வைணவக் குடும்பத்தில் பிறந்தவர். பாதுகாப்புக் கணக்குத் துறையில் பணியாற்றிய பின், சென்னையில் ஒரு சிறிய பதிப்பகத்தைத் தொடங்கினார். வாசகர்களின் தேவையை அறிய தொலைதூர ஊர்களுக்கு மிதிவண்டியில் சென்றார். நல்ல நூல்கள் ஒவ்வொரு குடும்பத்துக்கும் கட்டுப்படியான விலையில் கிடைக்க வேண்டும் என்பதே LIFCO-வின் அடித்தளம்.
